At The Loaf Shack Bakery’s Christmas Baking Workshop you will learn to bake Stollen, Cranberry/walnut loaf, mince pies and Amaretti biscuits.
The session will be hosted at The Loaf Shack Bakery itself, based in Thickwood, Colerne. You will learn how the bread process works from mixing, proving, shaping/moulding and baking conditions. As well as, learning how to make your own marzipan, sweet pastry and biscuit dough.
The session will last around 3 hours, all equipment will be provided.
The Christmas Baking workshop is £99 per person.

Spend your morning learning what sourdough bread is, how to make/maintain a sourdough starter, and how to bake delicious artisan bread at home.
During the workshop you will learn how to mix, fold, shape and prove the dough. You will be given your very own reusable oval banneton wicker proving basket to take home your sourdough loaf ready to be baked the next day. You will also make sourdough fougasse and rolls.
Make your own sourdough starter from scratch, with explanations on how to keep this alive and how to use in future loaves you make at home.
As a sweet treat, with the sourdough discards we will make sourdough blueberry muffins.
All equipment will be provided and you will leave with everything needed to produce sourdough at home, as well as detailed recipes. This is perfect for those with no previous experience in sourdough baking or those who would like to build on their knowledge of baking sourdough at home.
The workshop will take place in Thickwood, Colerne.
£110 per person.

This savoury pastry and dough workshop is great for those wanting to learn how to make delicious savouries from home. During this workshop you will make sausage rolls, pesto/feta twists, focaccia, cheese scones and savoury biscuits.
Put into practice the lamination technique while making your own flaky pastry for the sausage rolls and twists. Learn how to make bread dough by hand, kneading and proving techniques for your focaccia. You will also learn how to make two different types of savoury doughs when making cheese scones and biscuits.
This workshop will be held at The Loaf Shack Shack Bakery, based in Thickwood, Colerne. The session will last around 3 hours and all equipment will be provided.

The Loaf Shack Bakery’s introduction to bread making course is perfect for those wanting to learn and gain more confidence in baking bread from home.
The session will be hosted at The Loaf Shack Bakery itself, based in Thickwood, Colerne. You will learn how the bread process works from mixing, proving, shaping/moulding and baking conditions. These skills will be put into practice when making focaccia, cheese/onion rolls, seeded loaf and scones.
All equipment will be provided.
The introduction to bread making course is £95 per person.

Come and spend a morning learning to bake a traditional afternoon tea with a selection of sweet and savoury treats.
Start by making your own bread for the selection of sandwiches you will be making. Choose to make either fruit or plain scones. Bake a selection of small sweet bakes, lemon drizzle, fruit shortbread and chocolate cheesecake.
This workshop will teach you a selection of baking skills and introduce you to using several types of ingredients. From bread making, biscuit making, cake making and more.
Packaging will be provided for you to take your afternoon teas home safely for you and your friends/family to enjoy.
This workshop is £110 per person.

During this workshop you will learn how to bake Hot Cross Buns, Easter Biscuits, Walnut & Raisin Loaf and Easter Egg Cookie Dough.
While making the hot cross buns you will learn how the bread making process works, learning how to correctly knead your dough and shape into balls. You will make your biscuit dough completely by hand and shape into Easter shapes of your choice.
This workshop will take place at The Loaf Shack Bakery, based in Thickwood, Colerne. All equipment will be provided.
£95 per person.

Mark and I have spent the perfect Sunday afternoon on one of your workshops. Anyone visiting local Farmers Markets - in our case, Marshfield and Keynsham, may well have tried her scrummy bakes. Other items are available but we particularly love her quiches, breads, scones, cheese twists and pastries.
It was a no-brainer when Holly started the workshops, particularly as she’s very patient with my inability to follow instructions and tolerant of my puns. We tackled the entry level course today so have plenty to be munching on tonight!
